Minnows are the most popular bait for Speckled Perch
also known as Crappie and Specs.  Minnow sizes range
from 1.5" to 2.1" and are rarely separated based on size.  We purchase our minnows from the largest bait
company in the State, so we have the best minnows they have to offer.

  We get a fresh supply of minnows every Friday morning so that we can offer our customers a baitfsh that will last for days if properly kept.

How to care for your minnows:

  It is best if you keep your minnows in the water we provide because we use well water instead of chlorinated city water and add chemicals that build a healthy slime coat, strong scales, and includes nutrients for healthy bait.  Overall there are two things that ere essential for your bait ... AIR and TEMPERATURE.  We keep our tanks at at 59 to 64 degrees.  To cool your water put ice in a zip-lock bag and drop it in the water with your bait.  Some of our customers put a frozen bottle of water in their bucket.  If you can help it do not put your bait in the lake or river water they are generally too warm.
